Friday, February 3 – The Delta Twins
What can you expect from a couple of guys who grew up listening to music in Detroit and Chicago during the 1960's, 70's, and 80's? Everything from blues to rock to folk to gospel and then some! Put it all in a blender and you have the Delta Twins "sound".
Delta Twins are a Farmington-based Blues/Americana band that sounds like Tom Petty meets John Mayer at B.B. King's night club. Delta Twins is powered by the twin engines of Bob Young (vocals, acoustic & electric guitar, blues harp, keyboards, loops) and Tom Kozanecki (acoustic & electric guitars, resonator, mandolin, bass, percussion). This duo is known for passionate, original songs that get your feet moving, your heart beating and your soul leaping. Their funky, rootsy blues/folk/rock sound hits you at your core; it sounds familiar, yet unique, all at the same time! www.deltatwins.com

Friday, February 10 – Ghost City Searchlight
Ghost City Searchlight plays original music inspired by traditional Celtic and American folk songs infused with raucous energy. Their brand of charismatic folk-punk tells stories that are drawn from the spirit of tall tales heard around the campfire, from the pages of dime novels read under the covers with a flashlight, and from the personal experiences of anyone who feels the deck is stacked against them. You can find out more about them at www.facebook.com/ghostcitysearchlight

Saturday, February 18 – Tracy Kash Thomas & Luti Erbeznik
Tracy Kash Thomas began her musical life as a classical musician. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree from University of North and a Master's degree from the venerable Boston Conservatory, Tracy is an accomplished flutist and pianist. Add her impeccable songwriting, arranging and production talents to the mix and it is easy to see why she is an established “musician’s musician” in her native Detroit, where she currently lives, as well as in her previous hometown of New York City. Her unique brand of jazz-influenced rock/pop and R&B thrills live audiences as well as her growing radio following. In addition to her own solo career, Tracy also is a member of several other Detroit-area jazz combos. www.tracykash.com
Luti Erbežnik (pron. lew’-tee air-beige’-nick) comes from the former Yugoslavia where in his 20s he led a local rock band. Luti came to the U.S. in the late 1980s as a Fulbright Scholar in molecular biology, and continued to sing and play his music as a hobby. In the 1990s, Yugoslavia was torn apart by a bloody civil war, leaving a deep imprint on Luti and his music. Luti’s musical roots lie in rock, classical and Yugoslav folk music, and his voice has been compared to that of Nick Drake. In addition to playing solo, he is also a member of the Partly Brothers and Eastward Bound, and frequently plays with other area performers.
Together, Tracy and Luti will present an evening of music that will delight listeners!
Friday, February 24 – Billy Brandt
Having spent decades in the music business supporting other bands and artists, Billy Brandt found his own musical voice and steps into the spotlight as a singer-songwriter. Influenced by the likes of Gram Parsons to Neil Young, he's molded his sound by creating his own unique guitar picking, creating a haunting melody which stays with the listener long after the song is over. His deep roots in alt-country have earned him a loyal following. You may have seen Billy with his band Grievous Angel, as part of the duo Billy and Sarana, as a partner/sidemen for Jill Jack, and/or with any number of other outstanding musicians/singers/songwriters. Billy has been voted as Outstanding Acoustic Vocalist and Outstanding Folk Artist - Detroit Music Awards, among many other honors. www.drumdancerrecords.com
It’s quite likely that Billy will bring along one or two special guests, so don’t miss this rare Ann Arbor solo appearance!
Saturday, February 25 – Jo Serrapere & Johnny Devine
Whether recreating old songs from the Mississippi Delta or performing songs in her own confessional style, Detroit native Jo Serrapere’s music stands as original, while always reflecting her love of American roots music. Her eclectic writing and performance fuses elements of various modern and traditional folk music, old-time and electric blues styles, roots rock, garage surf, swing, hot jazz and alt-country. Jo's band, the Willie Dunns (John Devine, Jef Reynolds and Stuart Tucker) brings added depth and musical styling to Jo's original songs as well as classics from such artists as Mississippi John Hurt, Bessie Smith and Tom Waits.
John Devine, also a Detroit native, attended Master’s classes in classical guitar at Miami
University. He went on to explore traditional blues styles and develop a love for the “race
records” of the 1920’s and 30’s. John performed as a solo blues artist and songwriter
before teaming up with Jo in 1998. He continues to explore other forms of American roots
music and teach his craft. www.joserrapere.com.
